It was suggested that I introduce myself so, hi :). I'm Dr. Jean Grey (if you're wanting to make a Grey's Anatomy joke you can go ahead and do it but I've heard them all.)

So...I'm here for the foreseeable future. I work with X-Corps and am on sabbatical from practicing medicine (something I hope to remedy soon by getting a fellowship in the city).

I look forward to meeting and working with a lot of you.

Nice to meet you, Clarice. :)

I'm hoping to eventually get some experience in the medlab. I'm sure you've got a lot of stories.

General surgery, though I'm going to try to get something in general medicine and work with more aftercare now that I'll be here. There's a few places I'm looking at in the city.

You?

emergency and field medicine

chances are, if I'm working on you, you're either in a hell of a lot of trouble or you're here and it's a Monday.

Welcome, Jean.

I'm Cecilia Reyes, another doctor. I suspect we have some friends in common, especially since I did a little X-Corps work with Angelo.

Wow, really? That sounds pretty interesting. I had considered that but was more drawn to the surgical aspect.

I take it you see a lot of injuries here?

Well, I got my start as an EMT, then worked my way up, but decided med school + residency wasn't really feasible

powers happen. you get used to it.

Oh! You're THE Cecilia. I think I've heard Angelo mention you. All good things, of course. I was working in London during those missions, I believe.

Very good to finally meet you.

It's a bit like being at work with all the medical staff here. :) Feels homey.

First responders are always important.

Yeah, I figured. I had some experience with mutant-related care in DC. A lot of the other interns didn't want to mess with it so I got to work with a lot of people first hand.

Never heard myself described as "the" anything, but I'll take it.

We're a homey bunch in an in-the-trenches, chaos bonds us together sort of way. (By which, I mean Clarice and Laurie and me. I never know what Dr. Voght is feeling.)

me too, in NYC, which is where I did rotationals. and plenty of "no filthy mutie is going to touch me" which worked out nicely because the policy was "if clarice can't then nobody can." amazing how quickly their tune changes.

See, now I really want to do a Grey's Anatomy joke but all I have is something something McDreamy.

I'm Rogue. Nice to meet you :)

It lends a certain distinction,I think.

There's four? Yep, definitely like being at work. I'm used to a bit of chaos. Hopefully minimal.

What's your specialty?

Sometimes people are assholes. That sucks. But I'm glad you had an understanding supervisor.

There aren't many Cecilias in the world to speak of, to be fair, so I think it fits. Gonna leave your chaos comment aside.

Did a fellowship in trauma surgery/critical care at Penn. Lots of GSWs and accidents in Philly. A few other interesting things too. Med school at Columbia, residency out in San Diego.

Sadly, I have no McDreamy. Or McSteamy. And my mom's not an uberbitch. I do have a sister, but she's older not younger. I also don't live in Seattle, nor have I ever been proposed to on a post it note. I'm kind of glad about all these things.

Except for the lack of Patrick Demsey.

Nice to meet you too, Rogue. :) Is that a nickname or do you have very creative parents?

So basically you have nothing in common with the show other than the Dr. Grey part lol

We all need Patrick Dempsey in our lives.

It's the name I gave myself :) It suits me.

Hey, I'm optimist, but also a realist. I occasionally need to live in la la land with my wine and Thai food.

Wow, I guess trauma surgery is the hot topic here. I imagine it comes in handy, though.

Wine and Thai. You and I will be friends, I can tell.

Maybe? Truth be told, I just like cutting and the adrenaline rush of emergency surgery. Plus I grew up in the Bronx in the 80s and 90s watching people get gunned down and stabbed, and that obviously shaped my chosen field.

I...had a grouchy, sarcastic friend in medical school? Okay, no...not too many similarities.

Hear hear.

I bet it does. :D

Wine and thai are the holy grail after a long shift.

Makes sense. I'd like to know more about it. I get the sense it's going to be needed.

That's alright. There's sarcastic people here. Wait until you meet Logan.....actually, caustic might be a better word for him ;)

Are you going to be living here?
