It was suggested that I introduce myself so, hi :). I'm Dr. Jean Grey (if you're wanting to make a Grey's Anatomy joke you can go ahead and do it but I've heard them all.)

So...I'm here for the foreseeable future. I work with X-Corps and am on sabbatical from practicing medicine (something I hope to remedy soon by getting a fellowship in the city).

I look forward to meeting and working with a lot of you.

Well, I got my start as an EMT, then worked my way up, but decided med school + residency wasn't really feasible

powers happen. you get used to it.

First responders are always important.

Yeah, I figured. I had some experience with mutant-related care in DC. A lot of the other interns didn't want to mess with it so I got to work with a lot of people first hand.

me too, in NYC, which is where I did rotationals. and plenty of "no filthy mutie is going to touch me" which worked out nicely because the policy was "if clarice can't then nobody can." amazing how quickly their tune changes.

Sometimes people are assholes. That sucks. But I'm glad you had an understanding supervisor.

Statistically speaking not everyone can be an asshole all the time.

Baby steps.

everyone has an asshole

not everyone has to be an asshole

Exactly. I tend to try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

But sometimes reality wins out. Still.

Chocolate is a great choice. And occasionally wine.

They also have chocolate flavored wine, for if the world has been particularly crappy.

Hey, to each her own. :) I'm an equal opportunity booze drinker. Though I tend to favor the sweet kind.

oh, you can mix chocolate ice cream with alcohol in a mudslide. Absolutely. but chocolate absolute is ew.

It depends on what I want to do. If I want to drink and enjoy myself and have a good time, then a couple fruity drinks are good or a glass of wine.

If I want to get drunk, I'll just drink it straight or whatever.

The mixers are quite delicious, I agree.

That makes sense. I tend to subscribe to the same methods. Though I am a lightweight, from what I hear. But in my defense I usually get a contact high when I'm in a large setting where multiple people are drunk.
