Introductions

It was suggested that I introduce myself so, hi :). I'm Dr. Jean Grey (if you're wanting to make a Grey's Anatomy joke you can go ahead and do it but I've heard them all.)
So...I'm here for the foreseeable future. I work with X-Corps and am on sabbatical from practicing medicine (something I hope to remedy soon by getting a fellowship in the city).
I look forward to meeting and working with a lot of you.

What shall I call you? Do I get your name or should I make one up?

Date: 2015-02-10 03:31 pm (UTC)Nice to meet you, Logan. Your reputation precedes you from what I hear from Rogue.
I'd like to learn self defense eventually, actually. If you're ever up for it.

Date: 2015-02-10 03:56 pm (UTC)What brought you to the mansion?
Anytime. Shoot me an email and we can discuss the particulars.

Date: 2015-02-10 04:11 pm (UTC)Initially I came to speak to the Professor about something, and he asked that I stay since X-Corps will be working out of the mansion now. So here I am. And yourself?
Sounds good. :) I look forward to it.

Date: 2015-02-10 08:21 pm (UTC)Rogue and I had a run in with Magneto and then somehow ended up here. We've been drifting in and out ever since.

Date: 2015-02-10 08:30 pm (UTC)Ah, Magneto. I've heard stories. Glad you both seem to have made it out okay.
So, self defense...does that mean you're ex-military?

Yup. Been in a few of them actually.

Date: 2015-02-10 08:40 pm (UTC)You don't seem old enough to have served that long. Or are appearances deceiving?

Date: 2015-02-10 09:06 pm (UTC)You don't even know the half of it.

Date: 2015-02-10 09:10 pm (UTC)So...how old are you?

Date: 2015-02-10 09:19 pm (UTC)If I had the answer to that question, things would be a hell of a lot easier. Healing factors and memories don't get along as well as healing factors and time do.

Date: 2015-02-10 09:24 pm (UTC)Really? I've never met someone with healing factor...being a doctor they never need it. But the correlation with memory and healing factors degrading is interesting.
I'd think the neurons responsible for forming memories would remain intact and you'd remember everything.
Sorry, I get a little excited about mutation and medicine. I have to tell myself to stop sometimes. I'm sure you have better things to do.

Date: 2015-02-10 09:29 pm (UTC)Don't worry about it. I'm already a walking science experiment and figuring myself out is sorta a pastime.

Date: 2015-02-10 09:35 pm (UTC)Okay :) If you insist.

Date: 2015-02-10 10:21 pm (UTC)That's my thought as well. I find out new things about myself almost everyday.
